Katrina Adams
Katrina Adams is a former professional tennis player and sports executive from the United States. Born on July 5, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, she achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 22 in 1992. Adams was known for her strong doubles play, winning four Grand Slam doubles titles during her career.
After retiring from professional tennis, Adams became the first African American president and CEO of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) in 2015. She has been an advocate for diversity and inclusion in sports, working to promote tennis at all levels, especially among underrepresented communities.
