Kathy Hochul
Kathy Hochul is the current Governor of New York, having taken office in August 2021. She is the first woman to hold this position in the state's history. Before becoming governor, Hochul served as the Lieutenant Governor of New York from 2015 to 2021 and has a background in public service and law.
Born on August 27, 1958, in Buffalo, New York, Hochul has a degree from Syracuse University and a law degree from Catholic University. She began her political career in local government and has held various positions, including serving in the U.S. House of Representatives.
