Kategoria Superiore
Kategoria Superiore is the top professional football league in Albania. Established in 1930, it features a competitive format where teams compete for the championship title. The league consists of 10 teams that play each other in a round-robin format, with the season typically running from August to May.
The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion and qualifies for European competitions, such as the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. The league also has a relegation system, where the lowest-performing teams drop to the lower division, Kategoria e Dytë.
