Karen Blixen
Karen Blixen was a Danish author born on April 17, 1885, in Rungstedlund, Denmark. She is best known for her memoir, Out of Africa, which recounts her experiences running a coffee plantation in Kenya from 1914 to 1931. Blixen wrote under the pen name Isak Dinesen and is celebrated for her lyrical prose and vivid storytelling.
In addition to Out of Africa, Blixen wrote several short stories and novels, including Seven Gothic Tales. Her works often explore themes of love, loss, and the complexities of human relationships.
