Kansas Governor
The Kansas Governor is the chief executive officer of the state of Kansas. This position is responsible for overseeing the state government, implementing laws, and managing the state's budget. The governor also has the power to veto legislation and appoint state officials, including members of the Kansas Supreme Court.
Elected to a four-year term, the governor can serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. The current governor is Laura Kelly, who took office in January 2019. The governor's office is located in the state capital, Topeka, where they work to address various issues affecting the residents of Kansas.
