Kami-sama
Kami-sama, often translated as "God" in Japanese, refers to a divine being or spirit in the Shinto religion. In Shinto, there are many kami, each associated with natural elements, ancestors, or specific places. They are believed to possess spiritual power and can influence the world and human lives.
In Japanese culture, kami can also represent the essence of things, such as the spirit of a tree or a mountain. People often pay respect to kami through rituals and offerings at shrines, which are sacred spaces dedicated to these deities. This practice reflects the deep connection between nature and spirituality in Shinto beliefs.
