Kagome Higurashi is a fictional character from the anime and manga series Inuyasha, created by Rumiko Takahashi. She is a modern-day high school student who discovers a magical well that transports her to Japan's Sengoku period. There, she meets Inuyasha, a half-demon, and becomes involved in a quest to collect the shards of the Shikon Jewel.
