K- Meson
A K-meson, also known as a kaon, is a type of subatomic particle that belongs to the family of mesons. It is composed of a quark and an antiquark, specifically a strange quark and either an up or down quark. K-mesons are important in the study of particle physics and help scientists understand the interactions between different types of particles.
K-mesons come in several varieties, including the K⁰ (neutral kaon) and K⁺ (positive kaon). They are known for their role in CP violation, a phenomenon that helps explain the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe. K-mesons are produced in high-energy collisions, such as those occurring in particle accelerators.
