Köln Class
The Köln Class is a series of modern frigates used by the German Navy, designed for various naval operations. These ships are equipped with advanced technology, including radar systems and missile launchers, making them versatile for both anti-air and anti-surface warfare. The class includes several ships, with the lead ship, Köln, commissioned in the late 1990s.
Each frigate in the Köln Class is approximately 135 meters long and can accommodate a crew of around 200 personnel. They are designed for multi-role capabilities, allowing them to perform missions such as maritime security, surveillance, and humanitarian assistance. The ships also feature stealth characteristics to reduce their radar signature.
