K&A Canal
The K&A Canal, also known as the Kensington and Allegheny Canal, is a historic waterway located in Pennsylvania. It was constructed in the early 19th century to facilitate transportation and trade between the Delaware River and the Schuylkill River. The canal played a significant role in the region's economic development by allowing goods to be transported more efficiently.
Today, remnants of the K&A Canal can be found along its original route, with sections preserved for recreational use. The canal is part of the larger Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, which highlights the industrial history and natural beauty of the area.
