Jupiter Lighthouse
Jupiter Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located in Jupiter, Florida. Built in 1860, it stands 108 feet tall and is made of brick and mortar. The lighthouse was constructed to guide ships navigating the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. It features a distinctive red and white striped design, making it a recognizable landmark in the area.
The lighthouse was automated in 1939, which reduced the need for a keeper. Today, it is part of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area, where visitors can explore the surrounding park and enjoy scenic views from the top of the lighthouse.
