Junta Militar
A Junta Militar is a government led by a committee of military leaders. This type of regime often arises during times of political instability or crisis, when the military takes control to restore order. The junta typically suspends existing laws and may impose martial law, limiting civil liberties and political freedoms.
Historically, juntas have been seen in various countries, such as in the case of the Chilean military coup in 1973, which overthrew the democratically elected president Salvador Allende. These regimes can lead to significant human rights violations, as dissent is often suppressed through force.
