Julia Gillard
Julia Gillard is an Australian politician who served as the 27th Prime Minister of Australia from 2010 to 2013. She was the first woman to hold this position in the country’s history. Gillard was a member of the Australian Labor Party and represented the Lalor electorate in the House of Representatives.
Before becoming Prime Minister, Gillard held various ministerial roles, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education. Her government focused on significant reforms, including the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and changes to the education system. After her term, she continued to be active in public speaking and advocacy.
