José Miguel Carrera
José Miguel Carrera was a prominent Chilean military leader and politician during the early 19th century. Born on March 15, 1785, he played a crucial role in the Chilean War of Independence against Spanish colonial rule. Carrera is known for his efforts to establish a republican government in Chile and for his leadership in several key battles.
Throughout his life, Carrera faced political challenges and rivalries, particularly with other independence leaders like Bernardo O'Higgins.
