Joni Eareckson Tada
Joni Eareckson Tada is an American author, artist, and advocate for people with disabilities. After a diving accident in 1967 left her paralyzed from the neck down, she turned her challenges into a platform for inspiring others. Joni founded the organization Joni and Friends, which focuses on providing support and resources for individuals with disabilities and their families.
In addition to her advocacy work, Joni is a prolific author, having written numerous books, including her autobiography, Joni: The Unforgettable Story. She is also known for her artwork, which she creates using her mouth, and has been a speaker at various events, sharing her faith and experiences with audiences worldwide.
