Jonathan Taylor Thomas is an American actor and director, best known for his role as Randy Taylor on the popular television show Home Improvement, which aired from 1991 to 1999. He was born on September 8, 1981, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and began his acting career at a young age, quickly gaining fame for his charming performances. In addition to his television work, Thomas lent his voice to the character Simba in Disney's animated film The Lion King in 1994. He also appeared in several movies, including Man of the House and I'll Be Home for Christmas. After stepping back from acting in the early 2000s, he pursued his education and graduated from Harvard University.
