Joko Widodo
Joko Widodo, often referred to as Jokowi, is the current President of Indonesia, having taken office on October 20, 2014. Before his presidency, he served as the Governor of Jakarta and the Mayor of Surakarta. Widodo is known for his focus on infrastructure development and efforts to improve public services in the country.
Born on June 21, 1961, in Surakarta, Joko Widodo grew up in a modest family. He studied forestry at Gadjah Mada University and later entered politics. His leadership style is characterized by a hands-on approach, often visiting remote areas to understand the needs of the people better.
