Johnny Van Zant is an American singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. Born on February 27, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida, he is the younger brother of Ronnie Van Zant, the original lead singer of the band.
