Johnny Van Zant
Johnny Van Zant is an American singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. Born on February 27, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida, he is the younger brother of Ronnie Van Zant, the original lead singer of the band. After Ronnie's tragic death in a plane crash in 1977, Johnny took over as the frontman when the band reformed in 1987.
In addition to his work with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Van Zant has released solo albums and collaborated with other artists. His music often reflects Southern rock influences, and he has contributed to the band's legacy by keeping their sound alive for new generations of fans.
