John Wayne Gacy was an American serial killer active in the 1970s. He was known for luring young men and boys to his home in Chicago, where he would commit horrific crimes. Gacy often posed as a friendly figure, even dressing as Pogo the Clown for children's parties, which made his actions even more shocking to the public.
Gacy was eventually caught in 1978 after the disappearance of several young men raised suspicions. When police searched his home, they discovered the remains of 29 victims buried in his yard. He was convicted and executed in 1994, leaving a dark legacy in true crime history.
