John Elway is a former professional American football player and executive, best known for his time as a quarterback with the Denver Broncos in the National Football League (NFL). He played 16 seasons from 1983 to 1998, leading the team to five Super Bowl appearances and winning two championships in Super Bowl XXXII and XXXIII.
After retiring from playing, Elway became the Broncos' general manager and executive vice president of football operations. Under his leadership, the team won Super Bowl 50 in 2016. Elway is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.
