John Campbell, 6th Duke of Argyll
John Campbell, 6th Duke of Argyll (1823-1900) was a Scottish nobleman and politician. He was a member of the Whig Party and served as a Member of Parliament for Argyllshire. The Duke was known for his contributions to the Scottish Highlands and his involvement in various social and political issues of his time.
He inherited the title from his father in 1847 and became a prominent figure in the House of Lords. The 6th Duke was also an advocate for the Scottish land reform movement and worked to improve the conditions of the Scottish people during the 19th century.
