Joe Weider
Joe Weider was a Canadian bodybuilder, fitness and nutrition expert, and entrepreneur, often referred to as the "Father of Bodybuilding." Born on November 29, 1919, he played a significant role in popularizing bodybuilding in the United States and around the world. He founded several bodybuilding competitions, including the Mr. Olympia contest, which remains one of the most prestigious events in the sport.
In addition to his contributions to bodybuilding, Weider created a successful line of fitness magazines, such as Shape and Muscle & Fitness. He also developed a range of nutritional supplements and fitness equipment, helping to shape the modern fitness industry. Joe Weider passed away on March 23, 2013, but his legacy continues to influence fitness enthusiasts today.
