Job's Friends
In the biblical story of Job, his friends are Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar. They come to visit Job after he experiences immense suffering, losing his wealth, health, and family. Initially, they sit in silence with him, sharing in his grief, but soon they begin to speak, trying to explain his misfortunes.
The friends argue that Job's suffering must be a punishment for sin, suggesting that he should repent to regain God's favor. Their dialogues form the core of the Book of Job, highlighting themes of suffering, faith, and the nature of divine justice.
