Joan Sutherland
Joan Sutherland was an Australian operatic soprano, renowned for her powerful voice and exceptional technique. Born on November 7, 1926, in Sydney, she gained international fame in the 1950s and 1960s, particularly for her performances in Bel Canto operas. Sutherland's ability to execute intricate vocal passages made her a leading figure in the world of opera.
Throughout her career, Sutherland collaborated with many prominent conductors and composers, including Richard Bonynge, whom she married.
