Jerry Yang
Jerry Yang is a Taiwanese-American entrepreneur and engineer, best known as the co-founder of the internet company Yahoo!. He was born on November 6, 1968, in Taipei, Taiwan, and moved to the United States at a young age. Yang earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in the same field from Stanford University.
In 1994, Yang and his partner, David Filo, created Yahoo! as a directory of websites, which quickly grew into one of the first major internet portals. Under his leadership, Yahoo! expanded its services and became a significant player in the early internet era. Yang served as CEO from 2007 to 2009 and has been involved in various philanthropic efforts since stepping down.
