Jeff Mangum
Jeff Mangum is an American musician best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the indie rock band Neutral Milk Hotel. Born on October 24, 1970, in Ruston, Louisiana, he gained fame in the 1990s for his unique sound and poetic lyrics. The band's second album, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, released in 1998, has since become a cult classic.
After the band's initial breakup in 1999, Mangum largely stepped away from the music scene but later returned to perform live shows. His work is often characterized by its emotional depth and experimental style, influencing many artists in the indie music genre.
