Jean-Honoré Fragonard
Jean-Honoré Fragonard was an 18th-century French painter known for his vibrant and playful works. Born in 1732, he became a prominent figure in the Rococo art movement, which emphasized lightness, elegance, and exuberance. Fragonard's paintings often depicted romantic and whimsical scenes, showcasing his mastery of color and brushwork.
Fragonard studied under François Boucher and later became associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris. His most famous works include "The Swing" and "The Progress of Love" series. Despite his success during his lifetime, his reputation waned after his death in 1806, but he has since been recognized as a key artist of his era.
