Jason Mewes is an American actor and comedian, best known for his role as Jay in the popular film series created by Kevin Smith. He first gained fame in the 1994 film Clerks, which was part of the View Askewniverse, a shared universe of films by Smith. Mewes has appeared in several other films, including Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma.
