Jasenovac
Jasenovac was a concentration and extermination camp established by the Ustaše regime in Croatia during World War II. It operated from 1941 to 1945 and was part of a broader system of camps where thousands of people, primarily Serbs, Jews, and Roma, were imprisoned and killed. The camp is known for its brutal conditions and high mortality rates.
The site of Jasenovac is now a memorial and museum dedicated to the victims of the atrocities committed there. It serves as a reminder of the horrors of the Holocaust and the importance of remembering history to prevent future genocides.
