Japanese Sign Language
Japanese Sign Language (JSL) is a visual language used primarily by the deaf community in Japan. It has its own grammar and vocabulary, distinct from spoken Japanese, allowing users to communicate effectively through hand signs, facial expressions, and body movements.
JSL is not universal; it differs from other sign languages, such as American Sign Language (ASL) or British Sign Language (BSL). The language has evolved over time, incorporating regional variations and influences, making it a rich and dynamic means of communication for its users.
