Japan Basketball Association
The Japan Basketball Association (JBA) is the governing body for basketball in Japan. Established in 1930, it oversees the development and promotion of the sport at all levels, from youth leagues to professional competitions. The JBA is responsible for organizing national tournaments and managing the Japan national basketball team.
In recent years, the JBA has focused on improving the quality of basketball in Japan by implementing coaching programs and enhancing player development. The association also plays a key role in the B.League, Japan's professional basketball league, which began in 2016 and has contributed to the growth of the sport in the country.
