James Potter, also known as Prongs, is a fictional character from the Harry Potter series created by J.K. Rowling. He is the father of the main character, Harry Potter, and was a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. James was known for his bravery and loyalty, as well as his talent in magic. During his time at Hogwarts, James was a member of the Marauders, a group of friends that included Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew. He was also known for his ability to transform into a stag, which is how he earned his nickname, Prongs. James ultimately died protecting his family from the dark wizard Lord Voldemort.
