Jalil Mammadguluzadeh
Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was an influential Azerbaijani writer and satirist born on February 22, 1866, in the city of Ganja. He is best known for his sharp wit and critical perspective on social issues in Azerbaijan during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His works often addressed themes of injustice, corruption, and the struggles of the common people.
Mammadguluzadeh founded the literary magazine Molla Nasraddin in 1906, which became a platform for his satirical writings. His contributions significantly shaped Azerbaijani literature and culture, making him a prominent figure in the country's literary history until his death on January 4, 1932.
