Jake LaMotta
Jake LaMotta was an American professional boxer, born on July 10, 1921, in New York City. He is best known for his fierce fighting style and his rivalry with Sugar Ray Robinson, which included six bouts between them. LaMotta became the world middleweight champion in 1949 and held the title until 1951.
After retiring from boxing in 1954, LaMotta transitioned to acting and appeared in several films, including the acclaimed movie Raging Bull, which was based on his life. He was known for his tough personality both in and out of the ring, earning the nickname "The Bronx Bull." LaMotta passed away on September 19, 2017.
