Jaintia language
The Jaintia language is a member of the Khasian languages, primarily spoken by the Jaintia people in the northeastern Indian state of Meghalaya. It is one of the indigenous languages of the region and is recognized for its unique phonetic and grammatical features.
Jaintia is primarily used in daily communication and cultural expressions among the Jaintia community. Efforts are being made to preserve and promote the language, especially in the face of increasing influence from dominant languages like English and Hindi.
