Jabiru
The Jabiru is a large stork native to Australia and parts of Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. It is known for its impressive wingspan, which can reach up to 2.8 meters (9 feet). The bird has a distinctive black head, white body, and long legs, making it easily recognizable in wetlands and marshes.
Jabirus primarily feed on fish, frogs, and small reptiles, using their long bills to catch prey in shallow waters. They are often seen standing still or wading in search of food. These birds are also known for their large nests, which they build in tall trees near water sources.
