JAMB
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, commonly known as JAMB, is a Nigerian organization responsible for conducting entrance examinations for prospective students seeking admission into tertiary institutions. Established in 1978, JAMB oversees the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which assesses candidates' knowledge in various subjects relevant to their desired fields of study.
JAMB also regulates the admission process, ensuring that it is fair and transparent. The board provides guidelines for institutions and helps maintain standards in the education system. Additionally, JAMB offers services like the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) to streamline admissions and improve efficiency.
