Ixion
Ixion is a figure from Greek mythology known for his tragic fate. He was the king of the Lapiths and was punished by the gods for his crimes, including the murder of his father-in-law. As a result, Zeus condemned him to be bound to a fiery wheel that spins eternally in the underworld.
In addition to his punishment, Ixion is notable for being the first mortal to be invited to dine with the gods. During this feast, he attempted to seduce Hera, the wife of Zeus, which led to his severe punishment and a lasting legacy of caution against hubris.
