Issoufou Mahamadou
Issoufou Mahamadou is a Nigerien politician who served as the President of Niger from 2011 to 2021. He is a member of the Nigerien Party for Democracy and Socialism and has been involved in politics for several decades. Before his presidency, he held various government positions, including Prime Minister.
During his time in office, Mahamadou focused on economic development, security issues, and improving infrastructure in Niger. He was re-elected in 2016, but his presidency faced challenges, including threats from extremist groups in the region. After completing his second term, he stepped down in accordance with Niger's constitutional term limits.
