Islamist Groups
Islamist groups are organizations that seek to implement their interpretation of Islamic law (Sharia) in political and social life. They can vary widely in their beliefs and methods, ranging from peaceful political activism to violent extremism. Some groups participate in elections and governance, while others may resort to terrorism to achieve their goals.
These groups often emerge in response to perceived injustices, such as political oppression or foreign intervention. Notable examples include Hamas in Palestine, Al-Qaeda, and ISIS. Each group has its own ideology and objectives, but they all share a common foundation in their interpretation of Islam.
