Islamic Demonology
Islamic demonology refers to the study of supernatural beings in Islamic tradition, particularly those that are considered malevolent. Central to this belief system are the jinn, which are spiritual entities created from smokeless fire. Some jinn are benevolent, while others, known as shayatin or demons, are associated with evil and temptation.
In Islamic texts, such as the Quran and Hadith, these beings can influence human behavior and are often linked to mischief and harm. The concept of possession and the need for protection against these entities is also prevalent, leading to various rituals and prayers for safeguarding oneself from their negative influence.
