Ishbosheth
Ishbosheth was a son of King Saul and a prominent figure in the early history of Israel. After Saul's death, Ishbosheth became king over Israel, ruling for two years while his brother David was king over Judah. His reign was marked by political instability and conflict with David's forces.
Ishbosheth's rule ended when he was assassinated by two of his own captains, who hoped to gain favor with David. His death led to the unification of Israel under David, solidifying David's position as the king of a united Israel.
