Ish-bosheth
Ish-bosheth was a biblical figure who served as king of Israel after the death of his father, Saul. He ruled for about two years, during a time of conflict between the northern tribes of Israel and the southern tribe of Judah, which was led by David. His reign was marked by political instability and challenges from rival factions.
Eventually, Ish-bosheth's rule ended when he was assassinated by two of his own captains, Baanah and Rechab. Following his death, David became the undisputed king of Israel, uniting the tribes under his leadership. Ish-bosheth's brief reign highlights the tumultuous period in Israel's history following the fall of Saul's dynasty.
