Ironman Series
The Ironman Series is a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC). Each race consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile marathon run, completed in that order. Athletes must finish within a specific time limit, typically 17 hours, to earn the title of "Ironman."
The series began in 1978 with the first event held in Hawaii. Since then, it has grown to include numerous races worldwide, attracting thousands of participants each year. The most prestigious event is the Ironman World Championship, held annually in Kona, Hawaii.
