Iridescence
Iridescence is a phenomenon where surfaces appear to change color when viewed from different angles. This effect is commonly seen in nature, such as in the wings of certain butterflies or the feathers of some birds, like the peacock. It occurs due to the interference of light waves reflecting off microscopic structures.
In addition to natural examples, iridescence can also be found in man-made objects, such as soap bubbles and certain types of paint. The colors produced are not due to pigments but rather the result of light interacting with the surface, creating a vibrant display that shifts with movement.
