Iran Football League
The Iran Football League, officially known as the Persian Gulf Pro League, is the top professional football league in Iran. Established in 2001, it features clubs from across the country competing for the championship title. The league operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Azadegan League, the second tier of Iranian football.
The league consists of 16 teams that play each other in a round-robin format, with each team playing 30 matches per season. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. The league is known for its passionate fan base and has produced many talented players who have gone on to represent Iran internationally.
