Internet History
The history of the Internet began in the late 1960s with the development of ARPANET, a project funded by the U.S. Department of Defense. It aimed to create a network that could withstand disruptions, allowing multiple computers to communicate. By the 1980s, the TCP/IP protocol was established, enabling different networks to connect, leading to the modern Internet we know today.
In the early 1990s, the introduction of the World Wide Web by Tim Berners-Lee made the Internet more accessible to the public. This innovation allowed users to easily navigate and share information through web browsers, paving the way for the rapid growth of online services and social media platforms.
