The International Writing Program (IWP) is a prestigious initiative based at the University of Iowa that brings together writers from around the world. Established in 1967, it aims to foster cross-cultural dialogue and promote literary exchange through workshops, readings, and discussions. Participants have the opportunity to share their work and gain insights from diverse perspectives. The IWP hosts various programs, including the Fall Residency, where selected writers spend ten weeks in Iowa City.
