International Steel Group
International Steel Group (ISG) was a major American steel producer formed in 2002. It emerged from the consolidation of several steel companies, including LTV Steel and Bethlehem Steel, aiming to revitalize the U.S. steel industry. ISG focused on producing a variety of steel products, serving sectors like automotive and construction.
In 2004, ISG was acquired by Mittal Steel Company, which later became part of ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel producer. This acquisition allowed ISG to expand its operations and improve its competitiveness in the global market, contributing to the overall growth of the steel industry.
