International Skating Union
The International Skating Union (ISU) is the governing body for the sports of figure skating and speed skating. Founded in 1892, it oversees international competitions, sets rules, and promotes the development of these sports worldwide. The ISU is responsible for organizing major events, including the World Figure Skating Championships and the World Speed Skating Championships.
The ISU also establishes the technical standards for competitions and ensures fair play among athletes. It works closely with national skating federations to support skaters and coaches, fostering growth and participation in both figure skating and speed skating at all levels.
